The image of the yellow rose came from a meditation in which I was prompted to imagine a yellow rose just above my head and then watch it descend into my heart, as an act of renewal and regeneration. This songs speaks to the tenderness of new romantic and sexual connection, and the longing and anxiety that go along with it. It’s about the challenge of staying in the moment and just being with whatever unfolds.
