This song is about being open to new love and having no idea where it’s headed, or if it will work out at all. I believe the chemicals released in our brains during these times allow us to say “screw fear”, so that we can experience the very vital emotions of being totally enamored. This is really the first pop song I’ve written, and it was super fun to allow my songwriting to explore new territory.
